We have long supported the work of rescue centres and by the start of 2011 we had already raised over £12,000 which was donated to UK rabbit rescues to support their good work and has gone directly to the front line. We support rescues however we can and maintain a list of rescue centres.

We are pleased to support rabbit rescues with the RWAF Rescue Fund, which has been made possible by a grant of £10,000 from the Support Adoption Scheme. We hope this scheme can be of assistance in a crisis. Rescues often contact us to tell us that they have taken in a large group of rabbits in an emergency situation and they need additional help. We offer the rescue direct financial support in times like this, by paying towards neutering and vaccinations, to help get the rabbits ready for rehoming.

If you work on behalf of a rescue that has a crisis situation and would benefit from financial support, then please get in touch. You will need to complete this application form and provide details of:

  • the crisis
  • what help is required
  • your general rehoming procedures.

If agreed, we will pay the vet bill directly with your vet. We will also provide a ‘rehoming pack’ to accompany the bunnies we have helped which will include our leaflets.
