Help us raise funds to continue our vital work in one of these great ways:
- Online Shopping
- The Weather Lottery
- E-Bay for charity
- Internet searches
- Sponsored Events
- Scrapping your car
- Booking a meal
We’re keen recyclers and we hope you are too. Recycling can help the planet as well as help the RWAF continue to do its vital work.
Toner and inkjet cartridges
Send these (by freepost) to The Recycling Factory using their detailed instructions.
Workplace collections are also welcomed, details are included in the “Interested in recycling in large volumes” section of the link above. Order a collection box for your workplace and simply let them know to collect when it’s full.
Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, old or broken jewellery and foreign currency
Send any of these (by freepost) to Recycling For Good Causes and any profit from the items’ recycling will come to the RWAF.
Stamps are always in demand by collectors, any used and franked postage stamps are currency for us. Please trim around them leaving the perforations intact, pop them in an envelope and post them to us at:
Culmhead Business Park
Please ensure you use the correct postal method as undervaluing the weight or size on anything that you send to us can cost us significantly.
Shop till you drop!
We are signed up with three sites that make it possible for us to benefit from your shopping without it costing you anything extra at all. The shops pay the websites a commission and some of that is passed on to the RWAF if you register us as your good cause. All your vouchers, offers and discounts will still apply if you go to your favourite online shopping sites via these websites after you have registered the RWAF as your good cause.
Give As You Live also runs Cards for Causes which will raise up to 6% in free donations for us whenever you buy or top up @Give as you Live’s new store cards for Starbucks, M&S, Cineworld, Caffè Nero, & loads more! #CardsforCauses
Arena Flowers make beautiful floral gifts and generously donate 25% of the value to the RWAF when you order.
You can also order by phone on 0800 0350 581 Please remember to say you are ordering for the RWAF
The Weather Lottery
This is exactly what it says, a lottery based on the weather! What could be more British?
This weekly draw has a fixed jackpot of £25,000 if you get all 6 numbers correct – not a share of £25,000, all of it. Smaller prizes are also available for a fewer number of mathes. We’ve had quite a few winners since we joined this scheme. So see your lottery funding go to a great charity by signing up today.
E-Bay for charity
E-Bay sellers can help us by using E-Bay for charities when selling your goods. You can choose how much of your earnings you share with us and all donations will continue to help us with our vital work.
Two organisations provide a search engine that benefits our charity, it costs you nothing. Simply set one of them up as your default search engine and clicking on the links they find. We receive a small donation from the companies and it all adds up to much needed funds.
Choose Easysearch as your homepage, default browser search engine or install a handy toolbar.
Chrome users: You can’t make this your default browser just yet, but you can save it in your favourites or keep it open in another tab/window.
Click ‘sign up to track your giving’ – it should select our official charity name “The British House Rabbit Association Rabbit Welfare Fund”. Continue, register your name, address and email and you’re away!
EveryClick allocates 50% of its gross revenue to charity each month, this allocation is shared among the charities whose supporters use it. The more people that sign up to the RWAF page and use search facilities, the more we get…simple!
Set one of these as your homepage and every time you search the web you’ll be raising money.
If you read Rabbiting On, you will have seen just some of the examples of members raising money through sponsored runs, bungee jumps, sky dives, even sponsored tattoos! So put your thinking cap on, is there something you could do to raise money to help rabbits?
If you are considering doing a sponsored sporting or running event then please train properly beforehand. We do not want anyone to harm themselves in any way, and participating without any preparation can be very dangerous.
Marathon man (or woman)!
If you are fit and active, then this is for you! If you are able to run for us and raise sponsorship at the same time, there is a comprehensive list of marathons available. Once you have your entry, email us a copy and we’ll send you a runners’ pack, consisting of a sponsorship form, a RWAF ‘A Hutch is Not Enough’ vest to wear while you run and a RWAF wristband.
Online sponsorship with BT My Donate
We’ve registered with the online donation site, My Donate which makes it even easier to raise sponsorship. My Donate takes no commission on donations. It’s quicker than passing around a sponsorship form and much easier for friends and relatives further away to support your event.
Once you’ve decided on your activity, register your event using the ‘start fundraising’ button. Let us know too so we can send you your vest and wristband.
Scrapping your car?
Give a Car give us a percentage of the value of any scrapped cars, so if you are going to scrap your car, then please do so with us.
You to decide whether to donate the full value or half if you want to split it. It’s very straightforward, just complete the online form and Give A Car will take it from there.
Booking a meal
ChariTable Bookings is the site to go to if you want to book a meal. For every guest who eats with you, £1 will be donated to the RWAF. Using the site is completely free to you, the donation will come from the restaurant’s profits.
If your favourite restaurant isn’t already there, let them know about the site, so that their bookings will increase.
