We wanted to draw your attention to toys like this, which are easily available online.

One of our supporters has told us that a rabbit she was looking after in her boarding business arrived with a toy like this and managed to get his foot stuck. She could not cut him free because the toy was made from wire.

Luckily, the rabbit was OK, but we would advise against using toys like this for safety reasons.

“The type of wire used in this type of feeding based enrichment toy is, put simply, dangerous. Its possible for it to become wrapped round a limb, like a snare, and for sharp ends to damage sensitive tissues like mouths and eyes.”
